What is the difference between love and lust, for a man and woman?

This question “What is the difference between love and lust, for men and women?” was asked by my best friend, Jimmy Don Dee, who happened to be dating a woman for 8 years. He seemed to be confused and can’t differentiate the feelings they both have for each other that was the feeling love or lust.

So, here’s pull-qoute my answered to him:

“Though it’s hard to distinguish between love and lust because a minute ago you might be in love and a minute later you be in lust, the alteration is the outcome of one or both parties actions towards another. Therefore, the point in time you feel you can’t do without other person, you are in love. Conversely, the point you can do away with that other person, you definitely in lust, which is why i believe love and lust alternate.”

That’s all i know about love and lust!

You’ll know if a feeling is lust or love with the following differences:

Love builds gradually while lust is at first sight. It’s highly impossible to love someone without knowing who that person really is, that’s lust.
Love is hard to break because it creates everlasting experience on the loved one’s heart. Lust on the other, easily fade and be broken.
Love is long-term while lust is short-term. A person who wants to marry and stays with you because of who you are, loves you. A person who wants to get something from you before marrying you, is either lust in you or an opportunist.
In love, there’s security while in lust there’s jealousy. One who loves you’ll want you to be save wherever you are, but one who lust in you become jealous when someone better comes to your life.
In love, both parties think clearly while in lust they are distracted. The next time someone have feeling in you and always distracted with somebody/thing else, even though pretending to make you less important and jealous, that person is in lust NOT love with you
Love is plain while lust there’s so much deceits. The thought that in love and war one can deceive only shows how one had confused love with lust.
Love comes with patient while lust comes with impatient. When someone loves you, he would be patient with your short-comings (though, i don’t encourage deliberately hurting one who loves you and expect him/her to be patient with you). The next time a person you think is in love with you tells you “why don’t you pick my calls” and shun all reasons you’ve said, that person is in lust with you.
Love is the desire of the personality, body, the whole you in and out and head to toe. Lust is the desire of some parts of you especially body.
Love first started with friendship and later transcend to love and affection; people in love priortise friendship because is the root of love. While people in lust, prioritize on self image. If you ever experienced your boy/girlfriend ranting at you “did you know who I am?” that person is in lust with you.
In love, everything is possible while in lust things are hardly possible. One in love would say to another “we will sail althrough the 7 seas you and me”, and will achieve the promises. While one in lust will say “Our love ends here. We can’t continue.” after satisfying his/her desire.
Love has a future while lust is about “now or never”. Lovers mindset wants both parties to stay for as long as life ticktock. But Lust mindset only want to quench its blazing desire now, not tomorrow nor next tomorrow nor days after.
Love is more of giving while lust is more of taking. Compare the ratio of what you give against take to/from person will tell if you truly love or in lust with that person.
Love is wishing a person prosperity even though distant or parted from you. But lust is retain of goodness even as small as wishing good to someone not longer in your life.
Love is selfless while lust is selfish. A lover will first think about people around him/her before self while a person in lust will think about self first.
People in love frequently use words like: We, they, both, together, us, them, our, with…words that implied inclusiveness. While people in lust, words often comes out of their mouths are: I, you, mine, your, his, her…words that implied self.
Love is freedom while lust is enslavement. People in love want other party free from any form of burden, and they strive to unburden the loved one’s burdened, and they become sadden if they could’nt; in other words, they are happy for your win and are sad for your lose. But people in lust don’t care about your burden and, at some point, they may even task you with additional burden, which proves lust is enslavement.

As a woman when you are talking to your man and you notice him staring at your god-gift assets not your face, he in lust with you.

When you both talk where do you look most of the time:

Her face?
Her boobs?

When she walks ahead, do you mostly check

Her walking grace ?
Her ass?

Do you daydream about:

You guys laughing together, having your moments and walking hand on hand along a beach or such romantic places ?
Making out on a beach or such exotic places ?

When you think of her, do you imagine :

Her smiling face? In her giggling self?
Her horny, inviting face ? In her moaning self ?

When you think of her , do you imagine her :

In YOUR favorite dress among the ones that you have seen her in ? In her usual attire that she prefers everytime ?
Naked ? Or in a sexy nurse uniform or lingerie that you have seen somewhere (like porn or a billboard ?

Do you most preferably imagine having

A future with her ?
A One night stand with her ?

When you touch her intentionally or by mistake:

Do you felt guilty and gentlemanly thought sorry “I shouldn’t be doing this not yet”

If your answers are mostly the first bullet point options, your are in love . Else you are in lust.

Simple question: are you willing to give up something which you care about for the one you’re in relationship with, or all you care about is the satisfaction of your own desires? The early is love and the latter is lust.

Another point is, see, forget about woke culture, if you feel free, responsible and committed to walking with your partner in moral places without being ashamed or having little guilt of being together, that is love. Otherwise is lust.

To answer the differences between lust and love, i explained with two instances.

Instance 1:

Imagine a heavenly kingdom with unlimited life-sustaining resources where you being the immortal King having a harem full of immortal virgin damsels of different physical appearance and personalities to your likings whose number one job were to attend to your sexual wants at any asking time…cut the crab there! If you somehow thought of this similar, Tthat’s a lustful imagination. Lust is the extreme desire to satisfy one’s sexual fantasies regardless whether it hurts other person being involved with or not.

Instance 2:

You start having interest in a person and sensed that person has the same in you, while you both been friends on Facebook for a long time, and can’t figured out since when the friendship have started, but you both have somehow agreed to meet up at a nice restaurant in a city you both lived in. You notice being together for the first time was delightful and the experience made you forget the harsh world around you. You felt the combination of security + attraction + trust + communication + mutual respect + possible positive future head with the person, and you somehow manage to sense the same feeling from the person. “Damn time runs faster already sunset.” You recheck your watch and you saw 6:15 PM, thinking back, you remember you left home at 10AM. Staying with you was like hours turn into seconds I don’t know how to slow down the time. A sharp fear comes to your mind “What if i left you and never to meet you again how can I endure life without you” and, You’re about to utter those words, when you heard the other person whispered to your ears “don’t leave yet” while in your arms, then you realize the feeling of guilt vanishing away that your love wasn’t one-side and that you are made for each other. You feltl the urge profess your love but you notice the sun has already set almost dark. You decided to save your love for another day If God wills.

There no words that can describe Love because it existed due to endless reasons, and more reasons to come along the way.

Love comes with responsibilities while Lust is not. A man who went to social centre for the purposes of finding a lady of his type with whom he would spend his life with will likely be in love. But a man who went to a brothel in search of any lady to spend some time with is in lust. Love is blessing but lust is a sin, which woke society has made a norm. And love has focus while lust isn’t.
