For all users managing forums with the Flarum forum software, you may have once encountered an annoying error Flarum encountered a boot error. Details have been logged to the Flarum log file. displayed on your forum website frontend, and you don’t want your visitors to encounter this error popup!

What was the cause?
The “Flarum encountered a boot error. Details have been logged to the Flarum log file.” is an indicator of a technical error in your website. It may be as a result of you’d deleted a flarum core extension e.g Emoji, English lan, Like (button), Subscription, Markdown… etc.
Another cause of the error is, in an attempt to configure one of your website root folder in directory, and you mistakenly tampared or even worse deleted a file which you don’t know which is which.
Other cause, may be due to backup and restore, during the process of backing up or restoring your website, a file got corrupted only to discover the restored website pops up with this error.
While there are no web article that thoroughly explain how this error be fixed and, to my surprise, even the (Flarum community)[https://discuss.flarum.org/d/29540-details-have-been-logged-to-the-flarum-log-file] failed to addressed the error, can you imagine how hopeless you [admin] could be.
So, after many trials and failures, here is the simplest steps to fix error “Flarum encountered a boot error. Details have been logged to the Flarum log file.” in your flarum-powered forum website.
To fix Flarum encountered a boot error. Details have been logged to the Flarum log file. you simply must replace the corrupt Login to see the code root file with a new one. But if you wish to clear your doubts and making sure the error is thoroughly fixed, you should replace all corrupt root files with the good ones, which i explained in steps. Here are the steps:
- Login to your C-panel>Backup Wizard, and backup your site data. We recommend you do partial back up where you select the backup segments: Home Directory, MySQL Databasee and Email forward filter configuration, and download one backup after the other, to your local storage. Make sure the download is hundred percent successfully!

- After completing the backup, navigate to your File manager, select all Home Directory files and folders and have them deleted.📁

Go to Softaculous App Installer area, uninstall and delete Flarum software make sure you check all data to wipe all off. Next, go to MyQSL database area, delete all database and user profiles that exist there. As though you’re restarting everything!
Now, go to Softaculous App Installer and install Flarum directly in your domain URL without including directory (e.g. https://sagegamut.com NOT https://sagegamut.com/forum). Login to your Flarum admin area, there will find your freshly new forum website - No posts NO threads, NO extension. Nothing. Now, the important part, I want you to login to your C-panel>File manager…

…go inside the website Home Directory or further down inside ‘public_html’ root folder, and download all the following files to your local storage:
a. CHANGELOG.md
b. Composer.json
c. Composer.lock
d. Config.php
e. Error_log
f. Extend.php
g. Flarum
h. License
I. README md
J. Site.php

Make sure they are saved, you are going use them to replace the corrupt ones in your backup file!
- Navigate to Backup Wizard, and restore your old Backup data files: Home Directory, MySQL Database and Email forward filter configuration. Once all restored, You should see the error pops up again when reload your website front-end.

Good! You realized the root files were the problem.
- Lastly, login to your website C-panel>File manager locate where those corrupt root files are in the restored Home Directory:

…and upload the ones you saved in your local storage to replace the corrupt ones. Reload your website. Vola! 😄
