Mrs. Kamala Harrish Kamala Devi Harris, born on October 20, 1964 (age 60) in Oakland, California, U.S., was the first child of a Jamaican father, Prof. Donald Jasper Harris, OM (born August 23, 1938), and an Indian mother, Dr. Shyamala Gopalan (December 7, 1938–FFebruary 11, 2009), who was from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
