Admin After the Ancient Romans conquered Ancient Israel they renamed it Palestine. This conquest is celebrated by a bas relief depiction on the Arch of Titus showing a Jewish menorah as part of the loot taken, evidence that the Romans conquered Jewish territory.
From then until 1948 Israel was known as Palestine & the surviving Jews still living in Israel after the conquest were known as Palestinians—under colonial oppression by one empire after another from the Ancient Romans to the British Empire in the 20th Century Palestine==Israel & Palestinian==Jew; Arabs etc living in Palestine refused to be called Palestinians because Palestinian==Jew & they were not Jewish. After WW1 during which Brittain captured Palestine the League of Nations gave Brittain the mandate to govern Palestine & prepare it for independence as a restored Jewish homeland, & this obligation is acknowledged in the Balfour Declaration.
In 1923 Brittain, in violation of its mandate from the League of Nations, partitioned Palestine & gave 77% of Jewish territory, on the East side of the Jordan River, to Muslim Arabs, which was initially called Trans-Jordan but later became The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. There’s a huge chunk of stolen land to concern yourself with if you are interested in righting wrongs. From 1923 to 1948 Jordan, with the active assistance of the British Government, developed its armed forces, whereas the remaining 23% of the Palestinian Mandate Area was kept under British colonialist oppression & the Jews who were supposed in terms of the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine to be given independence in the entire Palestinian Mandate Area were kept in subjugation & prevented by the same British Government from forming their own armed forces. The recent eruption of antisemitism in British politics is nothing new, it merely went underground for a while.
Leading up to the Independence of the modern State of Israel in 1948 the British Government did its best to negotiate a further partition of land, of the remaining 23% of Jewish land, between Jew & Arab, to deprive Jews of even more of their ancestral homeland. Desperate for their freedom the Jews agreed to give up yet more land for liberty, but the Arab leaders in the negotiations refused to accept the proposed partition. We now know from the Hamas Charter, other documents, public statements, & history, what the Arabs wanted so badly that they would not & could not settle for less ie the total destruction of any form of Jewish community & the death of all Jews worldwide. Faced with Arab intransigence & obvious stalemate in negotiating a partition the British Government elected simply to withdraw without fulfilling their obligation to establish an independent Jewish State. The Palestinians, in terms of the stated intention of the League of Nations Mandate for Palestine, & the 1947 Resolution 181 of the UN declared independence, throwing off the colonially imposed names of Palestine & Palestinian & naming themselves instead “Israel” & “Israeli”.
The very next day the neighbouring Arab States attacked Israel fully intending to carry out their stated objective of destroying Israel & killing all Jews. For those who oppose genocide & war crimes there are great wrongs arising from this war still to be righted. Jordan in particular invaded the areas known as Judea & Samaria which had been identified as such in writing by all sides during the failed partition negotiations, destroyed all synagogues, desecrated Jewish cemeteries, expelled all Jews, settled its own citizens in their place, & renamed the Jewish territory they had occupied “West Bank”. They also ethnically cleansed East Jerusalem destroying synagogues & desecrating Jewish cemeteries there, thus creating “Arab Jerusalem” & “West Bank” where Jews had lived for millennia. Jordan later annexed the West Bank, claiming Judea & Samaria as its own & admitting by implication that they were in fact actually part of Israel.
The surrounding Arab states initiated another attack on Israel in 1967, during which Israel liberated Jerusalem, Judea, & Samaria. By contrast they did not destroy mosques, desecrate Muslim cemeteries, or expel Jordanian citizens. Jordan’s response was to terminate the citizenship of its people in those areas & they have since then been known as “Palestinians”, the first time ever that non-Jews have been called that, & are being used (or abused rather) in a propaganda war against Israel with the same objective as the failed military attacks on Israel ie total destruction of Israel & the death of all Jews worldwide (the Hamas Charter sets out the Arab position in explicit detail & is available online for perusal & study).
From the documented histories of Palestine/Israel & The Mandate for Palestine it is altogether obvious that the Arabs have already occupied huge tracts of the Palestinian Mandate Area intended to form an independent Jewish State & despite Israel giving up territory in the hopes of attaining peace (Jordan, Sinai, Gaza) The Hamas Charter, other documents, & public statements by Arab leaders make it clear that the Arabs will be content with nothing less than the total destruction of Israel & the death of all Jews worldwide. The repeated failure of Arab countries to achieve this end through military means has resulted in a change of tactic to a propaganda war attempting to rewrite history (eg “Jesus was a Palestinian”, “Jews never lived in Palestine”, “Israel came into being in 1948”, “Palestine has always been occupied by an Arab nation called the Palestinians”, “Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine”, etc), & to isolate, demonise & generally undermine Israel.
Arab Palestinians are a figment of Arab propaganda lies & came into existence only after Israel won the war in 1967.
