A young lad sat with a Chinese sage after a long morning meditation. The lad asked, “What’s the most harmful of all lies?”
The Chinese sage thought for a second, then replied, “The lie that contains half truth, half lie.”
The boy then asked, Why is the lie that contains half truth, half lie the most harmful lie?
The sage replied that such a lie is hard to detect, yet hard to discard. It’s a seductive lie! It’s a lie that could destroy a nation!
