The enemy of progress is everywhere. No doubt. Surprisingly, you may be one!Especially in today’s world where people are competitive rather than cooperative. Enemies of progress now have the purpose of being so rather unintentional! People are actively seeking to bring your progress to ruin.
Ignoring this fact is like ignoring the fact that a rat allowed into a food store won’t feast on the food.
A simple example of human nature built to be an enemy of progress was a story of a gardener who’s working all day trimming a beautiful lavender garden. He invited his friend to the garden while he was showing his friend a specific flower he was trying to explain to him in the preceding day; suddenly, the friend plucked a beautiful leaf, reassuring, “You mean this!”. The gardener frowned upon his friend’s action, “But what can I do?” he thought. “It’s too late to cry when the head has been shipped off!”
That’s a nature of humans, intentionally or unintentionally pesting on promising things in progress. The same is true with everything!
Solution: Don’t tell people about your goal in progress. Surprise them with your success! And if you find a person who can’t let go of a good thing without ruining it, better off don’t tell at all! That’s the advice from a sage!
