Twins where much rarer then they are now… or rather it would be better to say that.
Miscarrage of twins was much more common.
Death of one or both children was common at birth or before hand.
Death of one or both children was more common after birth.
And Death of the mother was MUCH more common.
A lot of people don’t really get how much modern technology has improved the delivery rate of babies in the modern day in pretty much all stages.
But that being said. It really depended on where you where on the twins thing. In backwaters they could be seen with some amount of mysticism. In other places with wonder, but basically like two children. I can’t find a real example of them being looked at poorly
